Sunday, March 8, not only celebrated International Women's Day but marked a special day for the Australia Women's team as they clinched their 5th T20 World Cup title defeating India by 85 runs. It was the first time ever that India Women's qualified for the Women's T20 World Cup finale.
The game started with Australia Women winning the toss and deciding to bat first. Openers Alyssa Healy and Beth Mooney laid down the foundations of teams victory by posing a defendable total on the board. India Women's team had a disappointing end to their campaign as the star players of the team failed to perform on the D-day.
