West Indies vs Sri Lanka Match Preview

Sri Lanka to take on West Indies in the 35th match of the World T20 Cup today. Sri Lanka have been knocked out of the tournament and West Indies are also unlikely to go into the semi-finals. West Indies will look to keep their chances alive by beating Sri Lanka. The match will take place at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium.

West Indies

West Indies will have to overcome their weaknesses and register a big win in today's match against Sri Lanka if they are to keep their hopes alive of reaching the semi-finals of the World T20 Cup. After losing the first two matches, West Indies kept their hopes alive with a close three-run win over Bangladesh. The two-time World T20 champion is unlikely to reach the semi-finals but cannot be ruled out of the race yet.

Sri Lanka

On the other hand, 2014 champions Sri Lanka have lost all three previous matches and have been eliminated from the semi-finals. With the win in this match, they can act as a party pooper for West Indies. Sri Lankan opener Kusal Perera may have failed in the last match but the Caribbean bowlers will have to be cautious with him. The role of Pathum Nissanka and Bhanuka Rajapaksa will also be important. Hasaranga will also be hoping for a good performance in batting.

Weather Report

The maximum and minimum temperatures at Abu Dhabi will be 31 and 25 degrees, respectively. The humidity will be around 62 percent with no chances of precipitation.
