Ukraine and Germany lock horns in the Group A4 fixture of UEFA Nations League 2020-21.

Ukraine faces Germany in their third Group A4 fixture in UEFA Nations League 2020-21. They started off the campaign with a 2-1 victory against Switzerland, courtesy of Zinchenko’s winning goal in 68th minute. In the second game, they were thrashed by Spain 4-0 and ended their unbeaten streak of 11 matches. Andriy Shevchenko’s side is placed on the second spot, one point ahead of Germany. In an international friendly game this week, Ukraine lost to France with 7-1 margin as they conceded four goals in first 39 minutes. Shevchenko’s men keen to focus on next summer’s European Championship. In Euro 2020 qualifiers, they lost just one game against Portugal and in the last outing, they played a 2-2 draw with Serbia.
Meanwhile, Germany avoided defeats in first two ties in Group A3 games but managing just 2 points from two games, they find themselves at 3rd spot. Agaisnt Spain, they were on the winning situation after Werner’s strike in 51st minute and the goal from Spain in the injury time spoiled Germany’s two easy points. Against Switzerland, Germany took the lead in 14th minute but the second-half goal from Widmer helped Swiss side to share one point with Germans. The same story repeated for them in this week’s international game with Turkey by conceding the equaliser in injury time. Both sides met last time in 2016 when Germany had the last laugh with 2-0.
