After getting a bye in the third round, Spurs are ready for the London Derby in the EFL Cup with Chelsea who defeated Barnsley 6-0 to storm into the next round. In previous Premier League game, Tottenham disappointed with a draw in a winning game against Newcastle United on Sunday. Lukas Moura strike for Spurs in 25th minute to give early and Tottenham were looking to add 3-points from the game but the controversial penalty gifted Newcastle an equaliser to end the match in a draw.
Meanwhile, Chelsea had two tough games in Premier League. After going down against Liverpool, Chelsea were on the verge of dropping points agaisnt West Brom. After conceding three goals in the first half, Chelsea bounced back and netted two goals in the second half, courtesy of Mason Mount and Hudson Odoi. Tammy Abraham scored an equaliser in injury time to avoid second straight defeat. Both sides met each other in the 2008 and 2015’s final of this tournament and the Blues had the final laugh on both occasions.
