Indian captain and world cricket’s finest batsman, Virat Kohli reached yet another milestone in his fabulous international career during the Third ODI at Canberra. After losing the first wicket early, Kohli joined Shubhman Gill and by adding the 23rd run to his innings, he completed 12000 runs in ODI cricket.
He becomes the 6th batsman to achieve this milestone after Tendulkar, Sangakkara, Ponting, Jayasuriya, and Jayawardene. Kohli took 242 innings to complete his 12000 runs, scoring 59 half-centuries and 43 hundred. His average is 59.41 and the strike rate is 93.36.

In the second ODI, Kohli completed 22000 runs in international cricket during his impactful knock of 89. He surpassed the Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar to become the fastest to 22000 international runs. He achieved this feat in just 462 innings and the great Tendulkar had taken 31 innings more and had achieved the milestone in 493 international innings.
