Steve Smith Becomes No. 1 in Test, Kohli Moves to 4th

ICC update their new Rankings in Tests after the England-New Zealand series and Steve Smith becomes Test’s new number one player. He beat New Zealand’s Kane Williamson who had a poor outing in Lord’s Test and he also missed out the second Test due to injury.

Meanwhile, Indian skipper Virat Kohli moved to number 4 in Test Rankings. Both Kane and Kohli will have a great opportunity to boost their rankings through some good performance in the World Test Championship final which is starting from June 18 at Southampton. India will also play five Tests against England so Kohli will be keen to take the top spot.

Australia’s Marnus Labuschagne is at number three and the English skipper Root takes the 5th spot. Joe Root is currently the leading run-scorer in Tests this year with three hundred. India's Rohit Sharma and Rishabh Pant are also in the top ten of ICC Test Rankings. New Zealand is already on number one in team rankings in Test format.
