St Lucia vs St Kitts & Nevis Final Match preview

The final of the 9th season of the Caribbean T20 League will be played on Wednesday evening, 15th of September at 7:30 PM IST. St Lucia and St Kitts & Nevis will face each other in this final battle to clinch the title. Both the teams have never won a title in this league and one of the teams will break the streak in the today's match. St Lucia defeated Trinbago in the 1st semifinal to advance to the final, while St Kitts and Nevis defeated Guyana in the 2nd semifinal to advance to the title clash.

St. Lucia's journey in this season was no less than a roller coaster ride. They finished fourth in the points table in the league stage of the tournament, and qualified for the semi-finals with ten points in hand. Although they started their season with a massive 120-run defeat against Jamaica, but it did not put them down and they eventually emerged as a worthy contender for the title.

Despite Faf du Plessis' foot injury, who could not participate in the match, Andre Fletcher led them to the final with a stunning 21-run victory over defending champions Trinbago at Warner Park on Tuesday.

St Kitts and Nevis, on the other hand, started their Caribbean T20 League campaign with five consecutive wins. The Dwayne Bravo-led team was running at the top of the points table. Bravo, however, had a stretch in his waist, and had to sit out for a few games, after which the team lost three matches in a row, but fortunately Trinbago's massive 8 wicket win helped them to qualify for the semis.

Weather Report

The temperature will hover around 28 degrees and the probability of rain ruining the game is low but the cloud cover will remain throughout the game. Wind would be blowing at 19 km/hr and the humidity would be 81 percent.

Pitch Report

Despite so many matches, Warner Park's pitch is still good for batting. We saw teams score between 160-190 in the previous matches. In this match also we could expect a high scoring game. Spinners can take more advantage of the pitch over pacers. After winning the toss, the team most likely would want to bat first.
