South Africa will tour Pakistan in January-February 2021

Cricket South Africa confirmed its tour to Pakistan in 2021. The Proteas will tour to Asian subcontinent after 2007-08. It means it will be their first tour of Pakistan in 14 years.  South Africa will host Sri Lanka in two world Test championship matches in the home-summer and then, travel to Karachi to take part in two Tests and three T20Is.

South Africa will start its tour on January 26 with the first Test match in Karachi. Rawalpindi will host the second match of the Test series. The three-matches T20I series will kick start from February 13 and Lahore will host all three matches.

“It’s pleasing to see so many countries making a return to Pakistan – a proud, cricket-loving nation. Cricket South Africa is delighted to be counted among them. As someone who has toured the country on more than one occasion back in my playing days, I know how much passion the people of Pakistan have for the game as well as the love and support that the Proteas enjoy there as a team,” CSA Director of Cricket, Graeme Smith said.

PCB Director, Zakir Khan said, “2021 promises to be a bumper and most exciting year for Pakistan cricket fans after a very long time. After South Africa, we are scheduled to host New Zealand, England and the West Indies, while our away series are against South Africa, Zimbabwe, England, Afghanistan and the West Indies.”
