Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni likely to play together in All Stars charity game

BCCI president Sourav Ganguly on Monday announced plenty of upgrades for the 13th edition of the Indian T20 League. But one of the fascinating developments was the introduction of an All Stars match before this year’s tournament. The All Stars charity match will be played three days prior to the season opener.

Now, according to recent reports, the All Stars match is likely to be held between franchises from North- East zone and South-West zone.

Delhi Capitals, Kings XI Punjab, Rajasthan Royals, and Kolkata Knight Riders will combine together against Chennai Super Kings, Mumbai Indians, Royal Challengers Bangalore, and Sunrisers Hyderabad.

The merger of South and West zone franchise(s) means that for the first time in the history of Indian T20 League, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni might play for the same team. Along with these Indian maestros, fans might be able to see AB de Villiers, Shane Watson, Jasprit Bumrah, Lasith Malinga in the same squad.

Similarly, in the other team consisting of cricketers from the North- East franchises, we might see the likes of Andre Russell, Rishabh Pant, Ben Stokes, Jos Buttler, Pat Cummins, Eoin Morgan, Jofra Archer playing together. The venue of the much-awaited contest is yet to be decided.

The 13th edition of Indian T20 League is slated to begin on March 29 and the final will be played in Mumbai on May 24th
