Ramesh Powar Returns as the Coach of Indian Women’s Cricket Team

Former Indian offspinner Ramesh Powar is back in the head coach role of the India Women’s Team and BCCI has appointed him ahead of the England tour. Powar's name was recommended by a three-member Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC) comprising Sulakshana Naik, Madan Lal and RP Singh.

Powar will replace WV Raman who guided India to the first-ever World T20 Final in Australia last year. Raman had replaced Powar in December 2018 and now Powar is back in this role. Powar recently coached Mumbai and guide them to win Vijay Hazare Trophy. His big assignment will start from next month when India will play Test against England, followed by limited-overs series.
