Team India has already arrived in Mumbai and they will fly to England for a WTC Final and 5-match Test series with England. In the month of July, India will tour Sri Lanka for the white-ball series with a different team that is not part of the Test squad and Rahul Dravid is likely to take the role of Head Coach for this tour. Ravi Shastri will be in England and Dravid has earlier given coaching to India’s U19 squads and A squads.
Earlier this month, BCCI president Ganguly confirmed that India will tour Sri Lanka for 3 ODIs and 3 T20Is. It will be the different squad that will participate in this white-ball assignment. Board may soon announce the squad in the final week of May and they will also include a coaching staff along with Dravid. Shikhar Dhawan is expected to lead the side and India can include 22 players for the tour.
Sri Lanka board haven’t announced the venue yet but they are likely to host all matches at one place due to covid. The second wave of covid also hit Sri Lanka and they’re seeing more than 2000 cases every day. Sri Lanka also postponed Asia Cup 2021.
