Europe’s two compact Football sides Portugal and Spain face off each other in an international friendly game on Wednesday.

Team Preview 

Portugal and Spain face each other for the first time since the 3-3 draw in 2018 FIFA World Cup. Both sides are appearing in the international after 2010 when Portugal had the final laugh with 4-0. Portugal kicked off their Nations League 2020-21 campaign with emphatic victories over Croatia and Sweden last month. Fernando Santos’ side has the big task this weekend as they take on World Champion France next in Group A3. Portugal has been magnificent after the exit from the last World Cup. They suffered only one defeat in this period, losing a group stage encounter 2-1 against Ukraine. The European Champions haven’t lost a match from their last five previous international friendly affairs. 

Meanwhile, Spain started their Nations League campaign with a 4-0 victory against Ukraine and 1-1 draw with Germany last month. Luis Enrique's side is still confident to make into the next round. In their next Nations League matches, they would face Switzerland and Ukraine this month. Spain is unbeaten in all competitions since the 2018-19 Nations League defeats against England and Croatia. In friendly matches, they haven’t lost any game since 2016, when Georgia defeated them 1-0.
