Pakistan Cricket Board decided on the resumption of Pakistan T20 League 2021 and the remaining matches of this season will start from June 01. All 20 games will be played in National Stadium, Karachi. The final of the tournament will be played on June 20 which will be clashed with World Test Championship Final.
The tournament was earlier postponed on March 04 due to COVID-19 positive cases despite having a strong bio-bubble. It is expected that all matches will be played behind closed doors. Players and support staff will now complete a strict 7-day quarantine from May 22. Karachi are the defending champions. Few players are also part of the Indian T20 League so these players can easily fly to Karachi to participate in Pakistan T20 League.
