Team Preview

Pak T20 League 2021 will now decide its winner tonight. Maiden finalists Multan and former winner Peshawar will lock horns in Abu Dhabi. Both sides were not even in the frame before starting the Abu Dhabi leg specially Multan. Peshawar will play its third final and they have previously beaten by Islamabad when Sammy was leading the side. They have the golden chance to become the second side in Pak T20 League to win two titles.

Multan’s story is inspiring for all fans that of how they came out at the top after a poor show in Karachi. They lost one game in Abu Dhabi out of six and defeated league-leaders Islamabad in the qualifier game. Multan posted 180 on board, thanks to a gritty half-century from Maqsood and a late finish from Khushdil. Islamabad were not even in the game while chasing and bowled out on 149. Tanvir and Muzarabani picked three-wicket each for Multan. It’s a terrific team performance from the side and they have a side that is showing collective performance.

Meanwhile, Peshawar also did a great job by defeating Karachi and Islamabad in successive days to reach here. They chased down the targets in both games. They knocked out the defending champions by 5 wickets and won the game in the final over but the previous victory against Islamabad lifted their morale. They picked their 8 wickets on 106 but Hasan Ali’s late fire helped Islamabad to get 174. Peshawar made no mistakes and chased it down with 19 balls spare. Zazai’s role has been important for Peshawar in the last two games. He set the tone from the beginning which helps Peshawar to achieve glory. His performance would really matter. Malik has also played a vital role for Peshawar in middle-overs. He scored 32 off just 10 balls in the last game to finish the game. He is currently the leading run-getter of the side.

Multan had an upper hand over Peshawar in the last five encounters between two sides. They defeated Peshawar in Abu Dhabi by 8 wickets after suffering a 6-wicket loss in Karachi. Three wins out of the last five against Peshawar can boost Multan. Toss will surely play an important role. Peshawar is good in chasing and Multan did a wonderful job in defending the totals. It should be a cracking finale tonight.
