Most Sixes in World T20 Cup

5. D. Warner

The aggressive Australia opener comes in at number 5 in this list. Warner has smacked 31 sixes in 31 innings at the World T20 Cup. Seven of those 31 sixes came in a 72-run knock against India at the 2010 World T20 Cup. The 35-year old Victorian could add more to the list in this year’s tournament.

4. R. Sharma

Next in the list is the new leader of the Men in Blue, R. Sharma. The king of pull-shot has hit the ball out of the park on 31 occasions in 31 innings. Six of those 31 sixes came in a 79-run knock against Australia in Barbados. The boy from Mumbai could add more maximums to his tally in the ongoing tournament.

3. S. Watson

The hard-hitting, Queensland born all-rounder has smashed 31 sixes in 22 innings at the World T20 Cup. Renowned for his raw strength, Watson hit 7 sixes in a single innings against the Men in Blue at the R. Premadasa Stadium in the 2012 World T20 Cup. 

2. Y. Singh

One of the greatest power hitters from the cricket crazy land of India, Y. Singh has hit 2nd most sixes at the prestigious tournament. In the six World T20 Cup he played at, Yuvi smashed 33 sixes in 28 innings. Six of those 6s came in a single over against English pacer S. Broad at Kingsmead in the inaugural World T20 Cup. Yuvi also holds the record for hitting the longest-six in the history of the tournament, when he smacked B. Lee for a 119-metre six at Kingsmead, Durban.

1. C. Gayle

The Universal Boss had to be at the top of this list. T20 cricket is his forte and hitting sixes for fun is his hobby. The gigantic Jamaican has smacked 63 sixes in 31 innings and is number 1 in this category by a country mile. Gayle smashed 11 of those 63 sixes in a 100-run knock against England in the 2016 World T20 Cup at the Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai. This is one of those few records that could hardly be broken in the near future.
