Captained West Indies for 18 matches: 2012-2016
Sammy has been the most successful captain in the history of the World T20 Cup. Sammy won the World T20 Cup twice during his tenure as the West Indies captain between 2012 to 2016.
The former World T20 Cup winner started his captaincy in 2012. In the same year, the Caribbeans lifted the World T20 Cup when they defeated Sri Lanka by 36 runs. D. Sammy and co. repeated the history when they won the 2016 World T20 Cup defeating England in the last over. A match that immortalised C.
