South African opener and wicket-keeper, Q de Kock has 5th highest dismissals in World T20 Cup. With 15 catches and 5 stumpings in 15 matches over 4 different editions, de Kock has an impressive dismissal per innings ratio of 1.33. His best display behind the stumps came against Afghanistan in the Super 10 fixture of the 2016 World T20 Cup. de Kock held 3 catches and stumped N. Ali Zadran, who was lurking outside the crease. The 29-year old could claim more victims in the ongoing World T20 Cup and move higher up the list. 

4. K. Sangakkara

The legendary Sri Lankan cricketer has several batting and wicket-keeping records to his name. Even in the modern version of the game, Sangakkara finds a place for himself in this elite list. Featuring in 5 different editions, Sanga claimed 26 dismissals in 31 matches including 12 catches and 14 stumpings. The former Sri Lankan captain has a dismissal per inning ratio of 0.84 and best performance (2 catches, 1 stumping) came against Ireland in the 2009 World T20 Cup. 

3. D. Ramdin

The number 3 spot is occupied by Windies wicket-keeper D. Ramdin. Known as ‘Shotter’ for his agility behind the stumps, Ramdin featured in 6 editions of World T20 Cup and claimed 27 dismissals including 18 catches. His most impressive performance (4 stumpings) came against Pakistan in the 2014 World T20 Cup. Ramdin also has an efficient dismissal per inning ratio of 0.93.

2. K. Akmal

Team: Pakistan

Carrying on the heritage of legendary wicket keepers for Pakistan, K. Akmal sits at number 2 on the list. The chirpy presence of Akmal always troubled batters in the middle and as a result managed 30 dismissals in 30 matches with a dismissals per inning ratio of 1.00, Akmal’s best performance (4 stumpings) came at the iconic Lord’s in the successful campaign of 2009 World T20 Cup. Akmal has a unique record of most number of stumpings (18) in the history of the tournament.

1. MS Dhoni

Team: India

Arguably the greatest wicket-keeper of all time, MS Dhoni tops the list of most dismissals in the World T20 Cup. In 6 different World T20 Cups, Dhoni claimed 32 dismissals including 21 catches and 11 stumpings in 32 matches. Credit to his quick reflexes, Dhoni has a splendid dismissals per inning ratio of 1.00 in the tournament. His best performance (4 catches) was against Afghanistan in the 2010 World T20 Cup. Mahi also holds the record for most catches (21) in the history of the World T20 Cup.
