Rajasthan replaced Unadkat with Shreyas Gopal and dropped Manan Vohra for Jaiswal, while Kolkata replaced Shivam Mavi with Nagarkoti. Kolkata struggled to find boundaries in powerplay and Gill got run out after 19-ball 11. Kolkata lost two more wickets at the halfway mark and scored just 55 in the first 10 overs. In middle-overs, they required acceleration and Morgan got run-out without playing a ball. Dinesh Karthik completed his 1000 runs for Kolkata in Indian T20 League. In the 15th over, Miller survived through DRS but Rajasthan kept themselves in the game. Samson played a sheet-anchoring role with 42 off 41 balls and Miller provided the support. Rajasthan defeated Kolkata in this low-scoring game by 6 wickets with 7 balls spare.
