First Innings (Mumbai 137/9)
Delhi included Amit Mishra and Mumbai included Jayant Yadav to set up the best spin combination for this match. Mumbai’s start was not good as De Kock got out on 2. Rohit looked better and he provided the fire in powerplay and Mumbai finished powerplay on 55/1. In middle-overs, Mumbai failed to extend this start and Avesh Khan bagged Suryakumar to break the 58-run stand. Mishra bagged dangerous Rohit on 44 and he picked him for the 7th time in Indian T20 League, most by any bowler.

Delhi promoted Lalit Yadav up in the order and Delhi crossed 100 with back-to-back boundaries off Chahar’s over. In search of another boundary, Dhawan lost his wicket after scoring a fine 45. Mumbai put some pressure on Delhi by picking Pant and added more twists to this game. Hetmyer and Lalit Yadav's calm approach avoided any drama to secure a thrilling victory for Delhi.
