Hyderabad off a to a blistering start and the new opening pair Saha and Warner added 77 in the powerplay. They demolished Delhi’s bowling and both batsmen completed half-centuries. Ashwin broke the 107 runs stand with the wicket of Warner but Saha continued his fire. He fell short of 13 runs to his hundred and got out on 45-balls 87. Manish Pandey also played a handy knock of 44 to help Hyderabad to get 220 in 20-overs.
Delhi’s top trauma continued as they lost Dhawan in first over, followed by Stoinis’s wicket in next over. Rahane and Hetmyer tried to rebuild the innings but Rashid Khan grabbed both in 7th over to put Hyderabad in command. The middle-order failed against Rashid and the pressure of required run rate haunt them as Delhi bowled out on 131 to suffer a huge 88-runs loss.
