Mayank Agarwal and KL Rahul continued their top stand in the season with adding yet another 50 plus stand. Chawla broke the stand as Mayank walked away on 26. Mandeep (27) and Pooran (33) also played fine cameos to show enough support to KL Rahul who scored 63. Thakur grabbed Pooran and Rahul on successive deliveries to put give some stop to their run-rate. Sarfraz and Maxwell played some fine shots to take Punjab to 178.
In the chase, Chennai was completely different as the experienced duo gave a blistering start with adding 60 runs in the powerplay.
