Bangalore off to a positive with Phillipe and Padikkal in middle. The new pair added 71 runs for the opening wicket, before Rahul Chahar strike in 8th over to get Phillipe out on 33. Bumrah got Virat Kohli to give a big blow to Bangalore and it was Bumrah's 100th Indian T20 League wicket. The middle-order was not convincing but Padikkal was excellent who made fine 74 off 45 balls. Bumrah was too good as he conceded just 14 runs and picked 3-wickets. Despite a Padikkal show, Mumbai restricted Bangalore to 164.
Mumbai started the chase on a positive note but Siraj struck for Bangalore with the wicket of De Cock. Chahal grabbed Ishan Kishan, followed by the stunning catch from Padikkal to get Saurabh Tiwary. With the run-rate pressure, Mumbai was in deep trouble. Suryakumar Yadav was in fine touch but Chahal got Krunal to put pressure on Mumbai. Suryakumar's approach put pressure on Bangalore and Mumbai avoided any blow. He completed his half-century and finished the match with ease.
