Detailed Match Report
Bangalore started on a high note as Finch and Padikkal put a 67-runs stand. Finch got his form back with 37-balls 47. With two wickets on 94, Bangalore needed acceleration and ABD did that job. Starting with 11-balls 10, ABD fired and ended up with 73 off 33 balls. Kohli remained not out on 33. In last 5 overs, Bangalore scored 81 runs which boosted them to huge 194.
The chase from Kolkata was bit slow as they couldn't score much against the spin. Losing Banton early, Sundar got Rana and later, Gill got run-out after 33. In first 10 overs, they scored only 61 runs and the run-rate pressure was giving them a big scare. In 11th over, Chahal got Karthik to done the half-game for Bangalore and next, Sundar got big man Morgan to break all the hopes for Kolkata. Regular wickets and run-rate pressure made Kolkata’s things worse and they lost by 82 runs.
