Zimbabwe’s tour to Bangladesh is all set to get rolling with the Only Test between the two teams, scheduled to be held on February 22. Following a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Sri Lanka back at home, Zimbabwe is already quite hurt. The match will be played at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka, kick-starting at 9:00 AM IST.
Bangladesh is on the same line as Zimbabwe as they were taken down by Pakistan in the longest format of the game. In the upcoming game, the hosts will be looking forward to keeping their game upright and shine out as the champion.
Zimbabwe has already suffered a blow in the form of their regular skipper Sean Williams’ absence. Craig Ervine will be taking charge of the team in the absence of Williams and lead the team to dominate the game.
Pitch Report & Weather Conditions
The Dhaka pitch is known to turn from the Day 1 of the Test itself. Something similar of this sort is expected in the upcoming match too. Thus, the team winning the toss is expected to bat first.
Talking about the weather in Dhaka, the first two days are perfect for a game day while the reports suggest light showers on 3rd day of the game and heavy rainfall during the last two days. The temperature will be somewhere around 27-32 degrees Celsius.
