Los Angeles Lakers take on Miami Heat in the second game of the series to take 2-0 lead in the Finals series. In the first game, Lakers defeated Miami 116-98 to draw the first blood in the series. At the first quarter, Lakers led by 3 points and at the half-game, they stretched their lead to 17 points. Going into the final quarter, Lakers led by 26 points and Heat needed a big show in the 4th quarter but didn’t recover the advantage. Despite taking the last quarter 23-31, Miami suffered a big blow in the first game. 

Anthony Davies paced Lakers with 34 points plus 9 boards. Despite the injury, LeBron James played for 36 minutes and netted a double-double with 25 points, 13 rebounds and 9 assists. Alex Caruso scored 10 points plus 4 rebounds from 22 minutes coming off the bench. For Miami, Jimmy Butler scored 23 points while Kendrick Nunn chipped in 18 points and 5 rebounds coming off the bench. 

Lakers shot 45.2 per cent from the floor, including 15 out of 38 from three-point range, while, Miami shot 42.7 % from the floor, including 11 out of 35 from beyond the arc. Lakers dominated the offensive rebounds with 54-36. Lakers stands first in the postseason in field goals with shooting 49.6% per contest and in defence, they stand third as they allow 106 points per contest.
