Miami Heat draws the first blood in the series after losing two back to back games. On Sunday night, Heat avoided 3-0 deficit after claiming 115-104 victory to set the series scoreline 2-1. At the half of the game, Heat led by 4 points and going into the final quarter, they had 5 points advantage. Lakers didn’t give enough chance to Miami to stretch the lead. In the final quarter, Miami continued their top game and survived a comeback from Lakers by taking it 30-24. 

Jimmy Butler was outstanding on Sunday night with scoring 40 points, 11 rebounds and 13 assists to complete his triple-triple. For Lakers, LeBron James chipped in 25 points plus 10 rebounds. Morris and Kuzma scored 19 points each coming off the bench. 

Miami shot 51.3 per cent from the floor, including 12 out of 34 from three-point range, while, Lakers shot 43 % from the floor, including 14 out of 42 from beyond the arc. Lakers again dominated the offensive rebounds with 37-43. Lakers stands first in the postseason in field goals with shooting 49.3% per contest and in defence, they stand third as they allow 106.9 points per contest. Miami stands at 5th in defence as they allow 108.4 points per night.
