After facing each other in the community shield, Liverpool and Arsenal meet each other one more time in the Monday night encounter of Premier League. The Gunners had more success in previous meetings with Liverpool, the most recent came in Community Shield in the penalty shootout. Arsenal have also won the last Premier League affair between both sides back in July this year. The Gunners will fancy their chances of troubling reigning Premier League champions. They went into the fourth round of the EFL Cup, beating Leicester City at the King Power Stadium 2-0. They started of their Premier League campaign with a 3-0 victory over Fulham and in next game, they edged past West Ham 2-1, courtesy of an 85th-minute goal from Nketiah. 

Liverpool are unbeaten in their previous 60 Premier League games at Anfield and who will break their fortress? Leeds almost tried to seal their home but Salah saved the game after a 4-3 victory. Jurgen Klopp's side edged past Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the previous encounter, thanks to the brace from Sadio Mane. The Reds also outclassed Lincoln City 7-2 in the EFL Cup at LNER Stadium. 

Team News & Possible Lineups 


Liverpool will miss the services of their captain Jordan Henderson, Joel Matip and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlaindue to injury. James Milner is also in doubt as the player hasn’t recovered due to a calf strain. Summer signing Thiago Alcantara could make a full debut after impressing against Chelsea after coming off the bench. Joe Gomez is likely to be available after recovering from the injury.
