IPL 2019: Know Your Team Feat Mumbai Indians

Mumbai Indians would be laying the pitchwork for another exciting season of IPL and trying their best to win the title for the fourth time. Led by the vice-captain of the Indian national team, ace cricketer Rohit Sharma, so far the team looks good on paper and looks like it can lift the trophy of IPL 2019. The one thing that can put an end to their journey is the slow start that they generally go through every season.

Strengths

With an equally balanced top, middle and lower order, Mumbai Indians is probably the only team that is more well-rounded in the IPL 2019. But their biggest strength lies in all-rounders Pandya brothers, Ben Cutting and Keiron Pollard who can contribute well in both batting and bowling departments, thereby snatching the game from opponent’s hands.

Weakness

MI need to zero down their playing combination in the first few games and stick to throughout the season as MI’s inability to get things rolling at the beginning is by far their biggest weakness. Mumbai Indians have as many as four opening players such as Rohit Sharma, Suryakumar Yadav, Evin Lewis, and Quinton de Kock. So, finalization of a perfect batting order and locking it down should be done early in the series.

Key Players

If the Pandya brothers- Hardik and Krunal have an exceptional IPL, one can expect Mumbai Indians to reach the playoffs quite easily. But, it’s the MI skipper Rohit Sharma, around whom the entire game is going to unfold giving to his current form. MI has also roped in Yuvraj Singh but will he make it to the Playing XI is still a question.
