The All-India Women's Selection Committee on Sunday announced a 15-member squad for the upcoming T20 World Cup scheduled to be played in Australia from 21st February – 8th March 2020.
Harmanpreet Kaur will lead the women's team. Bengal's batswoman Richa Ghosh has been included in the squad following her exploits in the recent women's Challenger Trophy. 15-year-old Shafali Verma will also be playing her maiden global tournament after having a fantastic first season in International format.
India are in Group A along with hosts Australia, New Zealand, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.
India will play against defending champions Australia in the opening match of the tournament on February 21.
