India Women are getting big attention this year. After the announcement of the first Test match since 2014 in England, the Indian women’s team will now play their maiden Day-Night Test this year against Australia. It will be the first time, India Women will play two Tests in the same year. India last played a Test in 2014 against South Africa and waited for long 7 years to play the longer format of cricket and now BCCI gave them two test matches in the same year including a D/N test. Only Australia and England have played D/N test matches in Women’s Cricket which was hosted by Australia in Ashes.
India have already announced their squad for England tour and Mithali will lead India for the historical Test in Bristol next month. India will also play three T20Is and three ODIs against England. Few women cricketers will take part in Hundred and then, India will fly to Australia for a Test, T20I, and ODI assignment.
