The third ODI between India and the West Indies will be played on Friday, February 11. The match will take place at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. Team India has won the first two matches to clinch the series, in the third ODI they would like to make a clean sweep. West Indies, on the other hand, will look to save their credibility by winning the last ODI.
India did well in both the ODIs, the Indian bowlers performed better than the batsmen. Spinners ruled in the first ODI, conversely it was fast bowler who shattered the team in the second ODI. In the second ODI, Prasidh Krishna bowled brilliantly and took 4 wickets for just 12 runs in 9 overs. Shardul Thakur got 2 wickets. Siraj, Chahal, Washington and Deepak Hooda got 1 wicket each. India made changes in its bating order, KL Rahul played in the second ODI in the place of Ishan Kishan.
On the other hand, West Indies could not pose any kind of threat in both the matches for Team India. In the first match, the West Indies batsmen looked helpless in front of the Indian spinners, while in the second ODI, the Indian fast bowlers tested the Caribbean batsmen.
The minimum and maximum temperatures at Ahmedabad will be 14 and 29 degrees, respectively. No sign of precipitation but there will be a windy weather.
The pitch at the Narendra Modi Stadium is a balanced one. The new ball comes on to the bat well and batsmen can play their strokes freely. However, the surface slows down a bit, helping spinners on both sides. Spinners will continue to play an important role on this surface.
