India vs West Indies Second T20 Match Preview

The second T20 of the three-match series between India and West Indies will be played at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata. The match is scheduled to happen on Friday, the 18th of February. After a phenomenal win, India leads the series by 1-0 and is all set for the seconds match. Read further for more updates on fantasy cricket.

India

In the first innings, after winning the toss, India chose to bowl first and Bhuvneshwar picked up his first wicket in the very first over dismissing Brandon King. Bishnoi, who played his first international match, along with Harshal took 2 wickets each, respectively. The amazing spell by Indian bowlers restricted West Indies on 157.

We can expect a good spell from Ravi Bishnoi in the upcoming match too. Suryakumar and Venkatesh Iyer can wreak havoc in the middle order. Also, we hope to see some runs coming out of Kohli’s bat.

West Indies

Pooran and Mayers took charge of the team in the second wicket partnership, after the early dismissal of King. Pooran hit a blazing half-century after getting dropped by Bishnoi. Mayers played strong and contributed 31 runs off 24 balls, but he succumbed to the spin of Chahal, breaking the second wicket partnership.

West Indies will need more consistency in its batsmen to get hold on the second match. The middle order needs to get fixed and perform better in order to build a good target.

Weather Report

The minimum and maximum temperatures at Kolkata will hover around 16 and 29 degrees, respectively. There is no sign of precipitation. Therefore, the match will not be affected by the weather.

Pitch Report

The pitch at Eden Gardens is a balanced one. Both spinners and pacers will take advantage of the pitch, and batsmen can hit big shots during the slog overs. The team winning the toss will most likely bowl first because of the dew effect.

Sharma is in a great form as he struck 40 runs in the last innings. As an opening batsman, you can expect runs from him. Hence, picking him in your team might be a wise decision for you.

Suryakumar Yadav

Yadav was in a tremendous form in the first T20, and he will most probably replicate the same form in the upcoming match too.

Ravi Bishnoi

The young spinner has a lot of tricks under his sleeves. He should acquire the place of the spinner in your team.

Nicholas Pooran

Pooran was the top-scorer from the West Indies side. Scoring 61 runs with a lot of boundaries, he is a batsman worth choosing. Also, you will get extra fantasy points for his wicketkeeping skills.

Cottrell is a fine bowler. He had plenty of swings in his spell in the previous match. You can expect wickets from him.

Roston Chase

Chase picked up two wickets. There is a high probability that he would score good runs in the upcoming innings and can pick up a wicket or two. He failed to score big in the first match, but he might score some good runs in the upcoming match.
