After a clinical performance in the recently concluded T20I series against the West Indies, India will be keen to continue the winning momentum as they turn their attention to the 50-over format. The match will be played at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. The game will begin at 2 PM IST.
India won the series 2-1 after an emphatic victory in the 3rd T20I. Rohit, Rahul and Virat tormented the West Indies bowlers with their aggressive batting in the final T20I as they posted a mammoth total of 240. Despite a good knock from Windies skipper Kieron Pollard, West Indies were unable to build on their strong performance that saw them level the T20 series against India as they fell short by 67 runs.

However, the hosts have suffered a major blow as their seasoned pacer, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, has been ruled out of the series with a hamstring injury. They have called Shardul Thakur as a replacement. KL Rahul will open the innings with Rohit Sharma in the absence of Shikhar Dhawan. He would look to grab his chance in the ODI series. Rahul had scored a match-winning knock of 91 runs in the decider.
