ICC Announces New Names in Hall of Fame including India’s Vinoo Mankad

Ahead of World Test Championship Final, ICC Announces the new names in the Hall of Fame. This year, ICC came out with a great idea by including some greatest players from the 50s to the 80s. India’s finest left-arm spinner ever, Vinoo Mankad has been included in this prestigious club. Vinoo Mankad was best known for his 413 runs partnership with Pankaj Roy in 1956 which was a record for the next 52 years. He made his Indian debut in 1946 against England and played for the next 13 years. There is one domestic trophy in India on his name called Vinoo Mankad Trophy. Even in cricket, Mankading started on the name of this Indian player. 

Vinoo Mankad is the 7th Indian player in the Hall of Fame. Before him, Sachin Tendulkar was the most recent Indian player who was included in the ICC Hall of Fame. Other Indian players are Bishan Singh Bedi, Kapil Dev, Anil Kumble, Sunil Gavaskar, and Rahul Dravid. 

Sri Lanka’s Kumar Sangakkara has also been included in the ICC Hall of Fame. ICC Included some big names from Australia, West Indies, and England. Zimbabwe's Andy Flower is also the latest inclusion to this elite club who was known as the Bradman of Zimbabwe.
