Spain and Germany will meet again after the gap of 10 months in the UFEA Nations League 2020-21. Spain defeated Romania 5-0 in their last outing to round off a successful Euro 2020 qualifying campaign. They topped the Group F with eight wins and two draws. Luis Enrique are also back as the head coach and aims to roar high against a top side Germany. Both sides are placed in Group A4 along with Ukraine and Switzerland. Luis Enrique’s men are unbeaten from 11 matches in Nations League. Their last defeat came against the 2018 WC Runner-up Croatia by 3-2 in Nations League 2018-19. 

Meanwhile, Germany aims to improve their game in the 2nd edition of the league as they finished at third behind to 2018 WC Winner France and the Netherlands. Joachim Low’s side are pretty confident this season and coming off of a good run as they won seven matches out of the previous eight matches in all competitions. The only defeat came against the Netherlands 4-2. 2014 WC Winner Germany will play next to Switzerland and they aim to stand high in the respective group. The experts are calling this group, one of the competitive groups as Spain and Germany are the favourites this season and Ukraine and Switzerland are in the top form for the last one year.

Germany is going to miss those players who appeared in the Champions League and Europa League in August. Midfielder Florian Neuhaus and Robin Gosens got their first call cup for the national side.
