The hapless Hyderabad FC will take on Odisha FC in another IFL clash on Wednesday (15th January). Hyderabad is now on a nine games winless streak and now almost out of contention for a playoff spot. Odisha, in contrast, have now won four out of their last five matches and are now standing at the fourth spot. The match will be played at Hyderabad’s home ground, G. M. C. Balayogi Athletic Stadium. The game will kick start at 7:30 PM IST.
Hyderabad FC are having a horrendous season in the IFL. The IFL debutants managed to win only one game in 12 outings so far in the season and the club sacked head coach Phil Brown following the 1-3 defeat against Chennaiyin FC in their previous match. The club has now appointed ex-Bengaluru FC manager Albert Roca as their head coach and the team will be hoping to turn it around in the decisive phase of IFL.
Odisha FC has peaked at the right time in this season of IFL. The team has now won three back to back matches and entered into the top 4. They toppled Mumbai City FC 2-0 in their previous match at home. Aridane Santana and Xisco Hernandez were the stars for Odisha as they floored Mumbai City.
The three points have taken Odisha’s tally to 18 points from 12 matches and they are now just three points behind third-placed ATK. A win here will take them closer to a playoff spot.
