Indian domestic season kicked off in January with the T20 tournament, and Tamil Nadu won the 2021 edition after defeating Baroda in the final. On the other hand, the 14th season of the Indian T20 League is tentative to start from April this year, and for the mega event, Chennai will host the mini-auction on February 18. Jagadeesan (Tamil Nadu) 

The opening batsman of Tamil Nadu used his T20 experience in this domestic season and ended up being the leading run-scorer of the edition. Jagadeesan aggregated 364 runs at an average of 72.80 with a strike rate of 141.08. He scored four half-centuries this season, the most by any player. Riyan Parag (Assam) 

The young gun of Assam continued his top form after a decent outing in UAE last year. The 2021 edition of Indian T20 Trophy was another highlight of his compact batting. He played just five matches this season and scored 261 runs at an average of 87 and a strike rate of 141.84. He also bagged five wickets at an average of 27.80. Riyan Parag scored three half-centuries from his five appearances for Assam. His best performance came against Bengal when his all-round performance helped Assam to clinch a 13-run victory. After smashing 77 runs off 54 balls. He also picked two wickets to assure a win for Assam. 

Prabhsimran Singh (Punjab) 

Prabhsimran Singh took Punjab to the semifinals of the Indian T20 trophy with outstanding performances. The wicket-keeper batsman amassed 341 runs at an average of 85.25, including three half-centuries. His attacking approach helped Punjab to dominate the opposition from the very first over. He smashed 89 against the defending champions and 73 against Kashmir, which were the top-knocks from the young batsman. 

Ashutosh Aman (Bihar) 

Bihar made it into the semifinals of the 2020-21 season, and Ashutosh Aman played an important role in the impressive campaign. The left-arm spinner picked 16 wickets in the competition from 6 matches at an average of 7.62. Ashutosh Aman bagged 4-wicket haul twice in the edition to enter in the elite club of most 4-wickets hauls in a single season. He conceded just 9 runs in his 4-overs spell against Mizoram to record one of the cheapest 4-wickets hauls in Indian T20 Trophy history.  

Siddhartha Kaul (Punjab) 

Siddhartha Kaul was in tremendous form this season, and he guided Punjab to the semifinals. Punjab defeated the defending champions, Karnataka, twice in the competition. The right-arm pacer appeared in just 6 matches and scalped 14 wickets at an average of 11.07. He also completed two 4-wickets hauls in the tournament, and his best performance came against Karnataka in the quarterfinal encounter, where he bagged three for 15 to bowl out the reigning champions on 87.
