5. K. Rahul

Rahul has had his fair share of success in the World T20 Cup. The Indian opener hit the fifth-fasted fifty in the history of the tournament. Rahul hit a fifty in 18 balls against Scotland in the 2021 World T20 Cup.

Bowling first, the Men in Bue restricted the Scottish team to just 85 runs. In return, K. Rahul and R. Sharma built a partnership of 70 runs. In that partnership, Rahul hit every bad delivery to the boundary.

4. G. Maxwell

Maxwell is known for changing the course of a match at any given time. In the 2014 edition of the World T20 Cup, ‘Maxi’ scored the fourth-fastest fifty in the World T20 Cup when he hit 50 in just 18 balls.

The Australian all-rounder batted brilliantly against Pakistan. However, his explosive innings ended dramatically, as Pakistan won the match by 16 runs. During his innings, Maxwell hit 7 fours and 6 sixes; eventually, scoring 74 runs off 33 balls.

3. S. Myburgh

Myburgh is the fastest player from the Netherlands to score the fastest fifty in a World T20 Cup match. Back in 2014, Myburgh scored a half-century in 17 balls. The former Netherlands opener achieved this feat against Ireland.

During his innings, Myburgh hit 4 fours and 7 sixes with an excellent strike rate of 273.91. Myburgh’s final score for the night was 63 runs off 23 balls.

2. M. Stoinis

Coming in at number two, M. Stoinis turned many heads when he scored a half-century in just 17 balls in this year’s edition of the World T20 Cup. Stoinis reached this milestone in a match against Sri Lanka in the tournament.

Australia was in a must-win situation when Stoinis reached the crease. Where skipper A. Finch was struggling to time the ball, Stoinis punished every ball by hitting it out of the park. During his innings, Stoinis hit 4 fours and 6 gigantic sixes. In the end, he remained not out and won the match for Australia.

1. Y. Singh

The T20 landscape changed when Y. Singh came out to bat against England in the 2007 World T20 Cup. The former Indian batter made more than one record that night. Singh became the first batter to hit 6 sixes in an over when he hit S. Broad for 36 runs in an over.
