Everton will host Tottenham at Goodison Park in the most fascinating fifth round match of FA Cup 2020-21. Hosts are coming off a hard-fought draw against United, while Spurs beat West Brom in the last Premier League outing.

Team Preview 

Everton are highly boosted after surviving a defeat to Man United in Premier League. Man United took a 2-0 lead in the first half, and In the early second half, Everton equalised with two goals. United regained the lead in the 70th minute, but Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored an equaliser in the fifth minute of injury-time to earn one point at Old Trafford. In the last four PL ties, Ancelotti's side won just one game, but they are in the top four race. Toffees beat Rotherham United in the third round and overcame Sheffield Wednesday 3-0 in the last timeout of this competition. This is Everton’s best finish since 2015-16. In 2016, they made into the semifinals. Ancelotti would look for silverware this season, but the task wouldn’t be the same. 

Meanwhile, the Spurs finally earned a Premier League victory when they defeated West Brom 2-0 last week. Jose Mourinho’s dependency on harry Kane exposed its approach. He returned to the squad on Sunday lunchtime and helped the Spurs to gain three points. Without Kane, Spurs lost to Brighton and Chelsea. The team is motivated after the return of his main striker. The North London outfit edged past Marine and Wycombe Wanderers to set a round-of-16 date with Everton. Spurs have netted nine times in the FA Cup this edition. Mourinho would eye to end their FA Cup title drought of 13 years. Tottenham are already in the final of EFL Cup, and two silverware this season would be a better picture for Mourinho. Everton have not defeated Tottenham at Goodison Park since the 2012-13 Premier League season, but the Toffees had the last laugh when both sides faced each other in the last tie. 

For Everton, Jordan Pickford is still recovering from the rib injury, and he will not be available for this match. James Rodriguez had a tight calf at Old Trafford, so he may not be risked. Allan would mark his return to the lineup. Mourinho can rest Harry Kane, and Carlos Vinicius may start for Spurs. Dele Alli is likely to get few minutes, and either Reguilon or Giovani Lo Celso may return to the lineup.
