England vs Pakistan, Third T20 International, Match Prediction

England and Pakistan play each other in the final T20I of the Three-matches T20I series at Old Trafford.

Match Timing: September 1, 2020 (10:30 PM IST)

Team Previews

After the run-fest at Old Trafford, Pakistan and England will play its final match of the T20 series. England dominated in the second T20 to outplay the visitors to chase down their 3rd highest successful T20 chase on Sunday. The weather was cloudy on weekend and without any interruption, the match started with Pakistan’s steady start. Fakhar and Babar both added 72 runs and later, Hafeez joined the party to score 69 off just 36 balls. Pakistan put a strong total of 195 on a batting-friendly track which was a decent target for Hosts. Bairstow’s early fireworks, following Morgan and Malan’s match-winning stand, helped England to chase it down with five balls left. Morgan smashed 66 off 33 and Malan contributed 54 off 34 balls. Shadab was the only bowler who put some control with picking three wickets.

Pakistan required some control in middle-overs but after picking openers in 7th over, Pakistan couldn’t capitalise and England got easy boundaries and the partnership worked for England to smash Pakistani bowlers. The series is safe for the Hosts as the first match was washed out. Pakistan needs to win the final match to save the series. The former no. 1 ranked team is struggling in T2Os in the last one year. For the final game, Haider Ali and Wahab can get the nod from the Pakistan skipper in the playing XI. Ahead of the Australia series, England can promote Billings at top-order and Moeen Ali can be rested.

Pitch Report

Old Trafford, Manchester is a good batting track and if the weather doesn’t play a spoilsport on Tuesday, we can see another high-scoring affair. The spinners can trouble the batsmen in middle-overs. Chasing is always a good call after winning the toss.
