Kolkata’s 10 Win Streak
Next on the list is longest winning streak which is clamped under the claws of Kolkata. With 2 titles in hand, Kolkata is considered as one of the strongest teams of the tournament. Well, their record consecutive wins stand at 10 which were recorded during the seasons 2014-15 which is known as the most consecutive wins in the history of Indian T20 League.
Highest Individual Score
The record for highest individual score in the history of Indian T20 League is owned by Chris Gayle. In the same match when Bangalore registered their highest team total, Chris Gayle bagged the record of the highest individual total with a mesmerizing knock of 175 runs. His innings of 175 included 17 sixes and 13 fours.
Lowest Team Total
Ironically, the record for both the highest team total & lowest team total is owned by the same team. Yes, you guessed it right. The record for lowest team total too belongs to Bangalore. The team is known for not having a well-off Indian T20 league season ever. Well, their lowest team total stands at just 49 as Kolkata blew the team away in under 10 overs.
Joseph’s Figures of 3.4-1-12-6
Being the shortest format of the game, Indian T20 League often witnesses magnificent records. One such record is held by Mumbai’ Alzarri Joseph. During the inaugural season, Rajasthan’s Sohail Tanvir established a record of best bowling figures with his 6/14. However, after 11 long years, the record was taken-away by Joseph who rewrote the best bowling figures as 6/12.
