Cricket Australia on Thursday announced the complete schedule for the upcoming 2020-21 season of the Australian T20 League. The 10th season of Australia’s T20 Tournament will start on December 10 as the Hobart Hurricanes face the defending champions Sydney Sixers at Bellerive Oval.
To follow all the COVID-19 and border restrictions, CA has picked four states Tasmania, Queensland, Canberra, and Adelaide, to host the entire tournament. The board has confirmed the venues only for the 21 matches until December 31. The dates have been announced for all 56 matches league matches.
"We are working through scenarios for the 35 regular season matches and finals series to be played in the new year with our partners and government bodies," Alistair Dobson, said in a statement.
He also stated, "An announcement on these venues will be made in the coming weeks. This is, without doubt, the most complex fixturing task ever undertaken by the League, and we are excited with where it has landed. It has been a difficult year for so many people around Australia, and we look forward to bringing the BBL to every state, should border conditions allow us to."
Team India will also travel to Australia for the white-ball and red-ball cricket tour, starting from November 27. the Australian board has finalized the venues according to the international assignments. CA is also planning to sell tickets on a limited basis, and all the Information about crowd capacities at each venue will be announced soon.
