The three-time champion Chennai grabs their first player for Indian T20 League 2020 in the second set. The franchise roped in English player Sam Curran for 5.5. Cr to bolster their squad. He registered himself at the base price of INR 1 Crore. He sparked bidding war between Delhi and Chennai, but the latter took an edge over the former.
He made his debut in this league last year and was snapped up by Punjab team for 7.2 Cr. He became the first bower to bag a hat-trick in the 2019 edition against Delhi.
