Chennai Picks Sam Curran As Their First Player At the Auction

The three-time champion Chennai grabs their first player for Indian T20 League 2020 in the second set. The franchise roped in English player Sam Curran for 5.5. Cr to bolster their squad. He registered himself at the base price of INR 1 Crore. He sparked bidding war between Delhi and Chennai, but the latter took an edge over the former.

He made his debut in this league last year and was snapped up by Punjab team for 7.2 Cr. He became the first bower to bag a hat-trick in the 2019 edition against Delhi. He has such amazing bowling figures and that’s the reason he will be one of the overseas players fans will be looking forward to in the upcoming Indian T20 league 2020.

Chennai franchise made some shrewd buys and picked a total of only 4 players at the auction, namely Piyush Chawla (INR 6.75 Cr), Sam Curran (INR 5.5 Cr), Josh Hazlewood (INR 2 Cr) and R Sai Kishore (INR 20 Lac).
