Breaking: Motera Cricket Stadium Renamed after Prime Minister Narendra Modi

The World's largest stadium in Ahmedabad, Motera Cricket Stadium will be renamed after Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The sports enclave will remain Sardar Vallabh Bhai Patel Sports Enclave having Olympics level facilities, while the stadium will now be known as Narendra Modi Stadium.

The newly built stadium has a capacity of 110,000 spectators and due to COVID, only 55,000 fans will be allowed in the two Tests to be played at this venue. This Test will be the first international match hosted at the Motera stadium since November 2015. The stadium had famous memories.

Home Minister Amit Shah and President Kovind facilitated Ishant Sharma for completing 100 Tests. Virat Kohli and Joe Root introduced their teams to the Indian President. England won the toss and elected to bat first. India made two changes for the Pink-Ball Test. Washington Sundar and Jasprit Bumrah replaced Kuldeep Yadav and Mohammed Siraj.
