Bowlers to take Hat-Trick in World T20 Cup

Taking wickets is one of the hardest things to do in cricket. It requires meticulous planning to outfox batsmen and send them back to the pavilion. However, there are some bowlers in this sport who have dismissed not 1 or 2, but 3 batsmen on 3 consecutive balls. Let’s look at the list of bowlers to take hat-trick in the World T20 Cup.

1. B. Lee

Team: Australia

The legendary speedster from Sydney was the first bowler to take a hat-trick in the World T20 Cup. Lee achieved this feat against Bangladesh in Match-14 of the first edition of the tournament. In the 17th over of the first innings, Lee dismissed S. Al Hasan, M. Murtaza and A. Kapali of three consecutive deliveries. As the Bangladesh lower order was completely dismantled by Lee, they were restricted to a total of 123 which the Aussies chased in just 14 overs and won by 9 wickets.

However, Campher excelled Lee as he became the first bowler to take 4 wickets in 4 consecutive deliveries in the World T20 Cup. Camper achieved this feat against Netherlands in the 10th over of the 1st innings and his victims were C. Ackermann, R. ten Doeschate, S. Edwards and R. van der Merwe.

England chasing 190, required 14 runs in the final over, however, Rabada had some other plans. He sent C. Woakes, English captain E. Morgan and pacer C. Jordan, back to the dressing room on the first 3 balls of the final over. Thanks to heroics from Rabada, South Africa won the match by 10 runs.
