Barcelona Aim to Sell Four Players for Lautaro Martinez

Spain’s most prestigious club Barcelona to crack the deal with Inter Milan for Lautaro Martinez and the Club is planning to sell four players to revive their bid for the transfer move. The bid was stalled due to the financial issue and it could help out the La Liga runner up to get Martinez for the next season.

Quique Setién is fully confident to get the striker and trying to recover the replacement for Luis Suarez. Reportedly, Barcelona are looking to drop Philippe Coutinho, Jean-Clair Todibo, Rafinha, and Martin Braithwaite to sign Lautaro Martinez who had a €111million contract with Inter Milan and Barcelona need to pay out the amount to release clause in his contract which expires this summer.

Meanwhile, Antonio Conte is in no mood to release his striker ahead of the Europa League. The 23-years-old striker was the top-performer for Milan this year, guiding very close to the title as the club lost to Juventus by one point. Martinez netted 19 goals and provided 6 assists in all competitions for Serie A Club.

Luis Suarez suffered various injury issues this season and has also signified his move to the Camp Nou.

"He is a great player. He's been playing at a great level for Inter. It's not easy to arrive in Italy from Argentina and show everything that he's shown in a league as complicated as the Italian one. He's young and if he comes to Barca we will try and help him to adapt and help him to feel comfortable," said Luis Suarez.

Barcelona president Josep Bartomeu also said in an interview, "Barca have spoken to Inter about Lautaro over the last few weeks but the conversations have been put on hold by mutual consent. The current situation doesn't allow for major transfer fees."

Barcelona lost their La Liga title to Real Madrid this season after winning it for two successive years in 2018 and 2019. The club is aiming to get its best players through the summer transfer bid ahead of the Champions League.
