Team Preview
After beating Jamaica Tallawahs comprehensively, Defending champions are back on the winning track but they require consistency in the tournament. On Wednesday, Trident saw a match-winning show from Mayers who single-handily carried Barbados’ batting unit with scoring 85 off 59 balls. Barbados also got enough support from their spin department to restrict Jamaica on 112. Rashid Khan and Santner both are the big assets on a spinning track. The batting unit requires a big boost. Shai Hope is wasting important deliveries in power-play and Charles had a dull campaign with the bat. Last season’s star Hayden Walsh is no more a threat in the tournament. The task of St Lucia will be a do-die affair for Barbados.

After losing the rain-affected game against Riders, Lucia added 4th victory of the tournament on Thursday. Mohammed-Nagi got his first 5-wickets haul in T20 and guided St Lucia to a comfortable victory. With early blows in the powerplay, Patriots surrendered against the spin and finished on 110 in 20-overs. Zouks chased it down in 14.4 overs as Zadran contributed 33 and Chase scored unbeaten 27. St Lucia is a surprising side in the latest edition of the tournament and they are playing fearlessly in Trinbago. One more win will give them a safe chance to secure a semifinal berth.
