Bangladesh squad for the upcoming World T20 Cup 2024 has been announced. They are one of those teams that have played every edition of the tournament. However, they haven’t been able to crack the shortest format like they have done in ODI. Compared to the World T20 Cup, Bangladesh managed to qualify for Quarter-Final in 2015 50-over World Cup.
On the other hand, the Asian side is yet to qualify for a knockout. Also, not scoring 200-plus runs (either in Bilaterals or World T20 Cup) is a difficult stat to digest for Bangladesh fans. However, this time around, the team can be expected to do well in much more favorable conditions of the USA and Caribbean Islands. Not to forget, in the 2007 50-over World Cup, they managed to qualify for Super Eight, beating India and Bermuda.

About the team, Shakib Al Hasan, the former captain is the only player in the team to have played all the editions between 2007 and 2022. He will play again, perhaps the last time. Some of the players were part of the 2022 edition in which they came close to playing the semis.
