Bangalore will lock horns with Chennai in the 35th match of the Indian T20 League 2021. The match will be played in the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. Both the teams had an opposite start in the second leg of the League, Chennai started their campaign with a win while Bangalore lost its first match.
Bangalore's first match against Kolkata left them shattered as it was an insulting loss. Batting first they only managed to score a 92 and were all out in 19 overs. Despite their magnificent start in the first leg of the League, they are not going at the same pace in the second phase. A massive flop was seen in the Bangalore's batting squad as none of their batsmen scored well. While Virat was out on 5, de Villiers returned back to the dug-out on a golden duck. Dismissed on 22, Padikkal contributed the most runs to the team. In response, Kolkata finished the match without any troubles. By losing just a wicket, Kolkata chased down the target in just 10 overs. Venkatesh Iyer and Shubman Gill's 41 and 48 was enough to draw a victory for Kolkata. Also, the last time Bangalore and Chennai met, the latter sealed a 69-run win.
Bangalore needs to change their strategy and work hard to win their remaining matches else they would be outwitted by the likes of Kolkata and Rajasthan. Moreover, Chennai is in a tremendous form. Having defeated Mumbai in their previous match, they pose a big threat to Bangalore. Even though Chennai's batting squad failed to contribute, Gaikwad's 88 not out, helped Chennai to put a target of 156 in 20 overs, which Mumbai failed to chase and fell short of 20 runs.
Weather Report
The maximum and minimum temperature at Sharjah Cricket Stadium will be 38 and 30 degrees respectively. The humidity will be 55 percent with zero chances of precipitation.
Pitch Report
The pitch at Sharjah haunts bowlers as it is a very flat pitch with utterly short boundaries. A total of 200+ runs is also not enough for the defenders.
