Australia vs Sri Lanka Match Preview

The 22nd match of the World T20 Cup will exhibit Australia and Sri Lanka going on against each other. The match will take place on Thursday, 28th of October at the Dubai International Stadium. Australia started their campaign with a massive win against South Africa and they would want to register another win here in Dubai.

Experienced Aussies

With the likes of Maxwell, Finch and Warner, Australia is stuffed with experienced batsmen. The batting line up is great and we could expect a good target for the Lankans if Aussies bat first. Lanka has a good set of spinners, but Warner and Smith are better players against spin. Hence, spin will not trouble the team. Another factor is the Dubai pitch, which is a balanced one and will not give the spinners an edge.

Young Lankans

The Lankans have comparatively less experience than the kangaroos, but they have a winning streak and they cannot be underestimated. Despite Dubai's pitch being a balanced one, there are good spinners in the squad and they can be proved lethal. They chased a target of 170 against Bangladesh, so they again can chase such a target and Aussies need to go that extra mile to create some fuss for the Lankans.

Weather Report

The maximum and minimum temperatures at Dubai will be 32 and 25 degrees, respectively. The humidity will be around 66 percent with no chances of rainfall.

Pitch Report

Dubai's pitch is a balanced one, and provides a good bounce which might give pace an edge. Spinners will have to work hard to create magic on this pitch. Any score above 170 will be a good target.
